Math Strategy of the Week
Students, Teachers 1 Comment »Each day students are solving problems in so many different ways. They share their strategies with classmates and with adults in the classroom. It’s important that the students try out new strategies to help them improve and become more efficient problem solvers. Playing with numbers, pulling numbers apart and putting them back together help students to become stronger mental math thinkers. Each week I share at least one strategy that a student has used to solve a problem. I try and share strategies that we may not have seen before or strategies that really seem to work for kids. These student strategies get posted on the wall for all to refer back to and try out.
